About

A Press Your Luck Dice Rolling Game.

Attempt to fill in as many of the scores rows that you can while also not setting up your opponents for easy points. On each turn you will fill in rows with dice similar to Yahtzee. Unlike Yahtzee, the rows can be uncompleted on your turn, and your opponents can finish the row for all of the points. The question is how much should complete and how much should you leave unfinished in the hopes that your opponents will fill in some but not all of the rows setting you up to win on your next turn.

Thoughts

Tim:
4/5 Very Good with 3 people

I find the enjoyment of this game to be entirely dependent on the number of players. The skill/decision in this game is determining when to press your luck to complete a row and get some points and when to pass. With two people it's too simple and with four it never make it back to you. The sweet spot is three people.

I had this game years ago but lost my copy. Thankfully I was able to get a replacement from EBay. I'm really surprised this is out of print as most all of the reviews are favorable.

For an interesting compare and contrast see the game "Last Chance". It's both a similar and utterly different game.

Laura:
4/5

Very fun group game that I'd suggest at casual small group games. Easy to pick up, and everyone is involved, trying to gauge how many slots to fill so they can win the card.

Trivia

  • Released in 1994
  • 1995 Games Magazine Game of the Year Winner
  • There are no names of the creators listed. A sad but common practice of the time was to simply list the company name for everything. Thankfully due to sites like Board Game Geek I was able to find the designers as Breslow Morrison and Terzian who seem to have left Hasbro to form Big Monster Toys.
